I was touched to the core by Marrie’s words. She lives and breathes a fear of essential services being cut in a way I could never imagine.

I wish this was forced viewing for every legislator in the country!

Marrie and all who have to deal daily with disabiling issues need our heartfelt support. I support Governor Dayton’s plan to stop any more cuts to essential funding for those most vulnerable among us. My hope and prayer is that people on both sides will see the human side of the proposed cuts. Thank you for working hard on this issue. Sincerely, Rog

I fully support Governor Dayton and his convictions. I think it’s appalling that the disabled, and others who are vulnerable, have been the subject of such vicious attacks by those who call themselves “leaders.” That someone would CHOOSE to inflict this stress and fear on others, and try to rescind freedoms, is unacceptable.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts Marrie.

    Marrie,

Thank you so much for sharing this message. I will pass it forward to people I know and also to my elected representatives in my County.

You voice matters and I too will advocate for these issues. I appreciate your courage in speaking up. Thank you
    Susan

    Fantastic testimony from Marrie.

  6. Kara Jennings-Boyd says:

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Marrie, and for giving everyone the opportunity to learn that these decisions affect REAL live people. These “solutions” like a government shutdown might look good on “paper” and might work for political jockeying but they do little to highlight the effect in real life – the fact that these services are NEEDED by those in our commuinty who are the most vulnerable.

It is important that a human face be put on this issue in order to make our legislators stand up and take notice. Thank you for making them take notice of you, Marrie!
